Moving forward

The government has now removed the remaining COVID-19 restrictions and guidance for Education and childcare settings.

As COVID-19 becomes a virus that the country 'learns to live with' we remain mindful of the impact that virus' and illness can have on families.

Current NHS guidance and Safe Hands policy is that children should stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days. This starts from the day after they tested positive. If your child is well and no longer has a temperature they are welcome to return after this period.

At Safe Hands we maintain a regular cleaning and hygiene schedule for our toys, equipment and surfaces. As well as following good practice for good respiratory and hand hygiene such as ‘Catch it. Bin it. Kill it."

In order to prevent the spread of illness to children, their families, and Safe Hands staff we have minimum exclusion times for virus' and illness' outlined in our Accident and Illness policy.
